Day 2

Today we first up went on a tour of dad’s cousin Fiona’s farm. They farm dohne sheep (pronounced doony)
All together their farm is about 3000 acres! We also went in their $400,000 sprayer that works through 6 or 7 satellites to have with in 2cm accuracy when driving itself along the rows.
They had about 5 alpacas guarding the sheep. Bordering their farm is the Little Desert that has a big eagles nest in a tree. Dohne sheep are good for wool and meat. On the way to Lake Bonney(where we are spending the next 2 nights) we went through Bordertown which is where Bob Hawke was born.

  1. Aren’t you getting quite an agricultural education? We’re really looking forward to hearing all about your travels. It goes without saying that Mark and I are absolutely green with envy.
