We got up and went for a walk to Champagne Springs only we didn’t make it the whole way. We got lost in a part were the signs weren’t clear. We walked for ages trying to find the 1000 year old Boab tree which marked the halfway point. We found a Boab tree but was obviously not the actual one. We decided not to go any further because we couldn’t find the track. We had a rest before starting back. We then actually found the path. We followed it until we got to the big old Boab tree. It was very large and looked like it was 1000 years old. We had a rest there then headed back. We then went for a drive to look at the Chamberlain gorge. The hill down to it was very steep. There was as sign saying engage 4 wheel drive now. We don’t have a 4 wheel drive so we were worried we wouldn’t make it back up! We made it back up then drove back and had a swim in the creek and a relaxing night. We had a nice dinner at the Steak House. Tara was the only one who had steak! We had a nice day.
