Day 3 London 22/06/15

We had a big sight seeing day today!! We were all very tired at the end of it but it was all so much fun! Tess and I fell asleep straight after our M&S microwaveable dinner! (Very yum by the way!)

Dad and I saw a squirrel when we were running through a park this morning! We didn’t get a chance to take a photo though.

We went and had a look around Westminster Abbey. So fascinating.
We saw the changing of the guards ceremony today at Buckingham palace, however due to wet weather (in the middle of London’s summer!) parts of the ceremony were cancelled so it wasn’t the whole thing, but still very exciting all the same!

  WOW! What a building!!
How do they stand so still for so long!?
It was interesting seeing what they wear in wet weather.
We caught a talking double decker bus for a little bit – ’twas a good chance to rest our tired legs and have a little munch on some lunch!

Eating lunch on the bus!
We went on a boat down the River Thames from near Big Ben to the Tower of London.

  BIG BEN!

    The London Eye!

We also went today to Westminster Abbey.

In the evening, we went to a wax museum called Madame Tussaud’s. It was amazing everything looked so real!  Tess just chillin’ with Katniss!

Oh yeh – did I forget to mention that we met the Queen at Buckingham Palace…?
Just kidding! They’re made out of wax!

“Office of the president, good evening!”

  1. Sounds and looks fantastic, Madam Tussards is fascinating , good one Tess. Is Hyde Park still beautiful and nice place to be? Buckingham Palace and Westminster Abby are incredible buildings and fascinating. Lunch looked yummy on the Bus. Enjoy LOL xxxx

  2. Your photos bring back so many memories. I must go to Madame Tussauds next year. Rain in summer. That’s the London I remember. Glad to hear you’re still out and about, though. Do they still say ‘Mind the gap’ in a very monotone voice in the tube stations?
